Transoma Medical Appoints Nestor Jaramillo Jr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Industry Veteran Brings 20+ Years of Cardiac Device Experience
Jaramillo received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of North Dakota School of Engineering and Mines; and an MBA in marketing from the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Business Administration. He has completed strategic business coursework at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business and the University of Michigan Business School. Among non-profit organizations, he has served as a board member for Heartbeat International and is involved with multiple organizations helping underprivileged children in Central America who need special medical attention.
Transoma Medical, a leader in implantable wireless diagnostic systems, has named Nestor Jaramillo Jr. vice president of sales and marketing for the company’s Patient Management Device Division. Jaramillo is developing a commercial organization to introduce Transoma Medical’s first clinical product, the Sleuth Implantable ECG (electrocardiogram) Monitoring System to monitor and record cardiac function.
“Nestor’s broad background in sales and marketing of cardiac rhythm management products will be an enormous asset as we launch our first product targeted at improving the care of patients with chronic cardiovascular disease,” said Brian Brockway, Transoma Medical chairman and chief executive officer. “Nestor is strengthening our marketing and sales organization and positioning Transoma to play a lead role in the rapidly evolving care of patients with chronic disease.” Jaramillo joined Transoma Medical as vice president of sales and shortly thereafter was given additional responsibilities for marketing.
Jaramillo brings more than 23 years in the device industry to Transoma Medical and spent much of his career with Medtronic. There, he served as a vice president in several sales and marketing roles, most recently in pacing marketing, U.S. regional sales and global marketing for the Arrhythmia Management Division in the United States and internationally. He held international marketing positions with Medtronic in Europe and Latin America.
